Amaravati, June 23: In a step forward to ameliorate the lot of women, the YSRCP government under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, would be launching a unique programme YSR Kapu Nestham on Wednesday.
Eligible Kapu women would be entitled to Rs 75,000 each at the rate of Rs 15,000 every year. In the first year, 2.36 lakh women will be benefited by the scheme for which Rs 354 crores would be released by the government which would directly be deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries on Wedesday with launch of the scheme by the Chief Minister at his camp office in Tadepalli despite Corona pandemic and financial constraints. The government is moving ahead with the sole aim of the welfare of all sections of people.
YSR Kapu Nestham would be applicable to women in the age group of 45 to 60 from the Kapu, Telaga, Vontari and Balija communities. The beneficiary family annual income shouldn’t exceed 1.20lakh in rural areas and 1.44 lakh in urban areas. The beneficiary family should have less than three acres of wet land or 10 acres of dry land in rural areas and less than 750 sqyds of house and no other properties in urban areas.The Family should not have its own 4 wheeler. But those applicants whose family owns a Taxi, Auto, Tractors can apply for the scheme. The members of the family should not be a government servant and should not be a tax payer.
The selection of beneficiaries has been done in a transparent manner from the village secretariat level and the amount would directly transferred into their accounts.
