AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy should own responsibility for the kidnap of TD Legislature Party Deputy Leader K. Atchannaidu by the ACB without giving prior notices to him.
Mr. Chandrababu demanded that Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita should resign owning a moral responsibility for the incident. The DGP should come out with facts and announce the whereabouts of the TDP leader. This is nothing but part of a series of attacks on the backward classes ever since the YCP came to power.
In a statement here, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said that Atchannaidu has been fighting and struggling against the YCP betrayals and atrocities against the backward classes. Only out of political vengeance against him, the Government has now targetted and illegally kidnapped Atchannaidu. Very sadly, the former minister was not being allowed to take medicines and all phone lines with his family members were cut off. Kidnapping Atchannaidu without giving notices was another violation of the laws of the land.
The TDP chief said the maniacal rule of Jagan Reddy has reached a peak now and this is nothing but frustration of the CM over the increasing backlash from all sections of society to his chaotic and anarchic rule. It is known where Atchannaidu was taken. The attacks on BCs are continuing and the reservations were cut down for BCs from 34 per cent to 24 per cent. BC leaders were removed from lots of nominated posts. Cuts were imposed in welfare programmes.
Mr. Naidu said the TDP would strongly protest against the Jagan Reddy Government’s vicious rule. The Opposition leaders would register their protests by submitting memoranda before Jyothiba Phule and Ambedkar statues. The anti-people activities of YCP rule should be explained to the people in order to strengthen the agitation.
