Amaravati, May 18: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a high level review meeting on Kadapa Steel Plant and the steps to be taken for making it into a viable project and said that many Companies are showing interest for a Joint Venture.
The steps to be taken in the phase wise construction of the plant have come under review, held here on Monday, besides the probable tie-up with a big ticket Steel Company.
Former CMD of SAIL (Steel Authority of India) CS Verma talked to the Chief Minister during the video conference. He has shared his views on supply of iron ore, transport, production, technical knowhow and other issues during the conference. The world wide scenario of steel market had come in for discussion during the meeting and he had given his views on the issue to the Chief Minister.
Many Companies are showing interest for a joint venture in Kadapa Steel Plant, the Chief Minister said.
He asked the officials to take up the works on the proposed site of the Plant and save time and all required permissions for the Plant should be taken, he said.
Industries minister M Goutham Reddy, Special Chief Secretary K Valavan and other officials attended the meeting.
