Today, the People’s Union for Civil Liberties – Telangana State (PUCL – TS) initiated a Fact Finding Committee in ground level to enquire the rape victim of a 15-year-old minor girl under the Chadgarhat police station, Hyderabad, Telangana State. They address the press, the government not responding in time on the victims, after peoples movement only they are responding with crocodile tears. We think it is something that governments should be ashamed of. The attacks, rapes on women and girls, caste – religion are being pushed by the government only to that issues, then the public are not fighting by ‘unity’ against on those issues. People and social activists should take note of this. There are laws to prevent the atrocities against women and girls. The government that have to enforce these laws, but not initiating. This is an insult to the Constitution of India. That is why the state government has failed to respond properly to the rape of a minor girl at Chadarghat Police Station. The politicization of government in every ‘rape’ is a very shameful act and we condemn it. No leader should give political clout to the atrocities committed on women and girls. If any leader is involved in the case of ‘rape’ cases, the investigating body should consider the ‘rape’ with the cooperation and design of those leaders and include them in the list of accused. The investigating agency must be very vigilant. The government must act harshly in the matter of attacks on women and girls, and adopt a ‘proper’ approach to ensure speedy justice for the victims. The rape of a 15-year-old girl within the Chadar Ghat police station is very serious and civilized society humiliated. Government should stop politics and take quick steps to provide justice to the affected girl and further they demand that Shakil, should be severely prosecuted under the SC & ST Atrocity Act, the government should take appropriate action to register a case under the Prevention of SC & ST Atrocity Act, POSCO Act. The government should take full responsibility in the case of the 15-year-old victim as the role of guardian. Families dependent on 15-year-old victims should take appropriate measures to ensure welfare schemes on a ‘war basis’. Provide adequate medical counselling to the affected girl in all manner.
