New Delhi: sep17:: Today Jannat-ul Baqee the oldest Islamic cemetery in Madina, Saudi Arabia. Approximately 7000 Islamic personalities are buried at this cemetery. Especially, the family and followers of the Prophet Mohammed s.a.w.s.
To name Some of the great personalities are buried there as fellows, Daughter of Holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat Bibi Fatima-tus- Zehra (sa) a few Imams ( Imam Hasan a.s., Imam Zain-ul-Abideen a.s., Imam Mohammed Baquer a.s., and Imam Jaffer-e-Sadiq a.s.), Fatima binte Asad (mother of Imam Ali a.s.), Prophet’s wives and uncles are buried there.
Jannat-ul-Baqee has been demolished by the Wasabi Saudi rulers in 1926. Through this campaign we are requesting the Government of India to initiate talks with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia and take this matter of rebuilding Jannat-ul-Baqee up with the United Nations Organisation. We want UNO to make all the historical Islamic sites as World Heritage sites.
Hyderi Educational & Social Welfare Society, General Secretary Mr Mir Firasath Ali Baqri said letters will be sent to the Hon’ble Prime Ministry of India Mr Narendra Modi , Hon’ble Union Minister Foreign Affairs Dr Subramanian Jaishankar Ji , and Hon’ble Union Minister for Minorities Affairs Mr Mukthar Abbas Naqvi @ New Delhi, requesting him to initiate talks about rebuilding Jannat-ul-Baqee.
Address of every individual signing the letter is required to show the solidarity of Indian Government that every individual in his/her own capacity is supporting the cause of rebuilding Jannat-ul-Baqee.
