The All India Minority Front (AIMF) on Wednesday said there is perceptible anger among migrant workers from Bihar who have returned from far-off places and the Nitish Kumar government must care for them, lest it may lose their trust.
The party leader SM Asif accused the Bihar government of dragging its feet on the issue of migrants while other many states have started giving employment and rations upto November month.
He further said with the Centre’s Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyaan for migrant workers, there was no scope for “excuses” in the name of adherence to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Recently many migrant labourers returning to Delhi from Bihar for work were killed in Yamuna e-way, Mr Asif has demanded that Nitish Kumar should announce Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia, job to kin of them killed in the accident.
In a statement, Mr Asif said that people of Bihar have “lost faith in Nitish Government” adding that the next government in the state will be Janta Government under the leadership of AIMF.
