TDP has no respect for women: YSRCP MLA Amarnath

Vishakapatnam, June 18: TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh have no respected towards women and are ony concerned about rescuing their partymen irrespective of the atrocities they have committed, said YSRCP MLA Gudivada Amarnath.

Responding to the letter written to DGP by Naidu condemning the Nirbhaya case filed against Ayannapatrudu, MLA Amarnath said that Ayannapatrudu had warned a woman government officer from Narsipatnam municipal commissioner office to undress her for not doing works in his favour. Lokesh has taken to twitter supporting Ayannapatrudu on this incident. It is awful that Naidu and Lokesh are backing a person who used abusive words against a woman, he added.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Amarnath said that it was TDP which has rescued party leaders from various incidents in which they have misbehaved, ill-treated and even physically abused women across the state. He recalled MRO Vanajakshi incident where TDP leader Chintamaneni Prabhakar had used abusive words and dragged her out when she was on duty.

YSRCP government and the Chief Minister have great respect and gratitude towards women in the state and have given utmost priority to them. Like never before in the country, YSRCP government has introduced Disha Act and also other schemes such as Amma Vodi and registration of house sites in the name of woman of the family under Pedhalandariki Illu scheme, he said.

While the government is striving for the prosperity of the state, the opposition TDP is trying to defame and mislead the public for its political gain, he said and flayed Naidu for supporting Ayannapatrudu who used abusive words against a woman officer. He warned TDP leaders of legal action for their involvement in various irregularities and atrocities during the previous TDP regime.
