AMARAVATI Sep 22: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday criticised that in a media statement Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was not condemning the ongoing attacks on temples, Dalits, BCs and Minorities with an ulterior plan to use vote bank politics.
Mr. Naidu deplored that for the last 100 days, many untoward incidents were taking place at different temples in the State. The Chief Minister did not bother to visit one single temple and failed to give a strong warning to the perpetrators of these crimes.
Mr. Chandrababu Naidu recalled how the Chief Minister enacted a drama of having converted to Hinduism prior to 2019 election but after coming to power, he took his swearing-cermony with the Bible by his side. All these tactics were only aimed at preserving his vote banks while the fact was that the CM had no faith in any religion.
Addressing a party meeting along with senior leaders and candidates of all 175 assembly constituencies, the TDP chief asserted that whatever religion he may follow, a Chief Minister should treat devotees of all religions with equality and justice. It would be the sole duty of the Government to protect all places of worship with equal priority.
Mr. Naidu said that the YCP became known as a party of frauds and fakes with its leaders being experts in black mailing, manipulations and mafia activities. Whereas, the TDP was a secular party having a track record of equal protection to temples, churches and masjids with equal importance during its regimes. The evil-minded YCP leaders were only spreading false campaigns on TDP projects with a plan to destroy Amaravati Capital city.
Mr. Naidu termed it as a matter of shame on the part of YCP MPs to hold dharna in the Parliament premises with the sole purpose to politically target TDP but not for the interests of AP people. The proof of lies in YCP MPs’ allegations was clear from how they were saying that Rs. 2,k Cr corruption took place in the Rs. 770 Cr Fibergrid project. The YCP MPs were not at all fighting for the cause of people’s issues and they did not raise the issue of MSP for farmers in their protests.
Condemning the YCP regime for putting Atcham naidu in jail for over 80 days, Mr. Naidu said that the Government has not taken any action against its Minister G. Jayaram even though proofs were available now about his involvement in ESI scam. Jagan Reddy himself told the Assembly that his party would accept leaders from other parties only when they resign. But now, the CM was violating all these morals.
The TDP chief slammed the YCP for trying to defame their party with false allegations even now. In the past, 26 enquiries, 14 House Commissions, 3 sub committees, 4 judicial enquiries and one CB CID enquiry were ordered into the TDP government. But, none of these allegations were proved against the TDP. Even Jagan Reddy ordered many inquiries after becoming CM but he could not find fault with the TDP regime in the past 15 months.
Mr. Naidu expressed concern that Sadhus and Sants were literally breaking into tears at the hurtful comments being made by the YCP Ministers these days. Current meters were not fixed for over 40 years but now the YCP regime was going to fix them on pumpsets. First, the Government said it would be done on a pilot basis in one district but now they were fixing these meters all over the State.
