Amaravati, June 9: YSRCP MLA Jogi Ramesh slammed Chandrababu Naidu for propagating baseless reports on the plight of handloom workers through his friendly media. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has changed the nomenclature of BC’s from Backward Classes to Backbone Classes of the State, with the welfare activities.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Jogi Ramesh said that the Chief Minister is very much committed to the welfare of BC’s and thus brought many schemes for their development. Under YSR Nethanna Nestham, Rs 24,000 is being provided to the families of handloom workers, where the second turn of payment will be done on June 17. “In a span of one year, as many as four lakh families have been directly benefited by the government schemes which amounted over Rs 42,000 Crore. Seeing all these development and welfare initiatives, with a fit of sheer jealousy, TDP members are accusing the State government with false claims and fake news.”
He further said that the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to distribute house pattas for over 30 lakh people across the State on July 8, which is the first of its kind in the country going on a massive rate. “It is pathetic to see opposition members accusing scam in such a noble initiative to provide housing for the poor. When the entire country is looking at AP as a role model for development and praising young CM, Naidu is busy with his cheap politics. With just one year of his governance, Chief Minister was placed fourth in the country under best CM’s and we are pretty confident he tops the chart by next year. He is fulfilling Gandhi’s dream of grama swarajyam and thus brought the governance to the doorstep of the public.”
